SenseCam, 완전한 나의 삶의 기록
몇일 전에 CNN에 재미난 기사가 났는데, Microsoft 연구소에서 개발하고 있는 SenseCam이라는 프로젝트에 관한 것이었습니다. SenseCam은 불완전한 인간의 기억을 보완하기 위한 프로젝트로 기존에 시도되던 메모하기 등의 방법을 완전히 자동화 한 것입니다. SenseCam은 항상 들고 다니면서 하루에 2000장의 사진과 그 당시의 온도, 밝기등 센서에 의한 정보를 촬영하게 됩니다. 이렇게 촬영된 정보는 MyLifeBits라는 저장소에 저장되게 되지요. 만약 SenseCam을 들고다닌다면 열쇠를 어디다 두었는지를 잃어버리는 등의 문제가 발생하지 않겠지요. 앞으로 Pervasive Computing (스며드는 컴퓨팅? 컴퓨터가 존재하는지 안하는지도 모르게 컴퓨터의 도움을 받는 것을 의미)이 활성화 되면 안경이나 옷에 장착되어 인간의 기억을 도울 수 있을 것이라고 합니다. 하지만 역시 걱정되는 것은 지금도 온라인과 컴퓨터 상에 나에 관한 정보가 너무 많이 존재한다고 생각되어지는 데, 이것이 된다면 그야말로 "완벽한 나의 삶"을 기록할 수 있게 되겠네요. 어쨌든 지금은 좀 가지고 다니기는 민망하게 생겼습니다.

/lunamoth 저는 억울하게 누명 썼다가 온집에 카메라를 설치해 두고 자신의 일거수 일투족을 녹화하여 또 다시 누명을 쓰는 걸 피하려는 사람이 나온 영화가 기억나는 군요. 제목이 뭐더라 --a 요새 영 기억력이 떨어집니다. 담배를 끊던지 해야지 원.
일일히 키워드를 써줘야할까요? 아니면 그 당시의 온도, 밝기를 기억해야할까요?
